Meet The Team



We welcome postdocs with experimental fluid mechanics or robotics backgrounds. The prospective postdoc will pursue research in areas related to bio-inspired underwater/aerial robotics, cyber-physical experiment systems, flow sensing, and control.


Similarly, we welcome talented students with strong interests in fluid mechanics, bio-inspired robotics, or machine learning. Prospective Ph.D. students will pursue research on topics related to ultra-maneuvering in complex flow (e.g., swimming in vortex street, flying in cross-flow), active flow perception (e.g., flow perception with onboard sensors), bio-inspired robotics (e.g., amphibious robots, flying/swimming robots).

  • Postdoc: Highly self-motivated; Strong communication skills; Holding a Ph.D. degree in related areas with a strong publication record.

  • Ph.D.: Highly self-motivated; Strong communication skills; A solid background in math, experiments, or robotics; GPA>= 3.0/4.0; TOEFL >= 79 and no GRE required.
